This article is a tutorial on how to upload files from your desktop to a Folder in you web space using the file transfer protocol (ftp). You will drag the file(s) or folder(s) from your desktop to the web space folder at the OAKTREEWEB web site.

1. From the Start Menu open My Computer and navigate to the file or folder you want to upload (see left hand side of figure below).

2. To access the folder online that you want to transfer to enter the ftp address line below in the address window of your web browser. Your web administrator can give you the name of the proper folder if you do not already have it.

ftp://oaktreeweb.com/yourfoldername/

3. You will be asked to enter the User ID and Password to access the folder. Use the information below:

User ID: oakmanager5
Password: 1234567

4. Now you are ready to “drag” the file or folder from your desktop (see left side of figure below) to the designated folder at the web site (see left hand side of figure below):

5. Drag the files/folders as indicated by the arrow below:

6. The final screen after you have dragged your files/folders should appear as below:.
